Using XML to update Task Data

Hi,

I have placed a single task into a new Project with a duration of 5 days and
a total cost fof $5,000. I then saved the file with an XML file format.

If I open the XML file and attempt to change the duration from 5 days to 10
days, I find that I need to change several tags in the Task. For example, if
I named the task, "Task 1", then I would search for "Task 1" and then I would
need to change the following tags within that task: duration, start and
finish dates and many more tags as well.

Is there a simple way to do updates from within an XML file?

YOu would need to generate a transform or other type of XML page that would
handle the update for you. In short, it is easier to do it in Project.
However, it is certainly possible to create "web pages" that will update the
XML for you.
