V-Card does not update

I sometimes email myself a contact v-card from one computer to be recieved at
a second computer. After opening the V-Card I'm prompted to update or create
a duplicate. If I choose update it ofen doesn't update the information at
all. So what I have been doing is to create a duplicate and then delete the
original however I should have to do it that way.

Any suggestions?
