V2003 restarts after exit

V2003 will not close down. File>Exit or Task manager closes Visio window, but Visio re-launches a few seconds later. The only way to stop Visio (once started) is to re-boot Windows XP Pro PC

Any suggestions

I browsed to the bottom of the stack, but couldn't find a reference to a(ny) visio shut down / restart problems. Do you recall any search terms that might apply

Hello Gary,

Try the steps give below.

1) Close Visio if it is running by killing the processes.
2) Then go to start and click on Run.
3) In the run prompt type Visio /r and click ok.
4) Then Visio will launch and then try closing it.

This should fix the issue.
