Do you have reason to believe they are infected with spyware? While its
not unheard of for the developers computers to get infected and the
applications are compromised (it happened a few years ago with one trusted
favorite utility), these applications do not normally contain spyware. To be
safe, always download directly from the vendors site and use antivirus
software.
