Hi,
I have hit a problem with Outlook 2007 and .ics / VALARM and was
hoping someone could help me out.
I added functionality to subscribe to ICalendar from my website via a
webcal: protocol in Outlook 2007. Everything thing is fine except the
VALARM (Reminder) tag is not working at all in Outlook 2007. I also
found that outlook 2007 doesn't show reminders in the calendars we
export from "Google Calendar" or "Mozilla Sunbird". As I went deeper
into this concept, I found that Outlook doesn't show (import)
reminders at all when there are more than one events in ".ics" file.
For example, I have two files meeting.ics (having single VEVENT
component) and meetings.ics (having two VEVENT components) as follows:
meeting.ics

Despite the fact that second VEVENT in meetings.ics is identical to
the only object in meeting.ics.
If I import meeting.ics then it appears to get imported into my
current calender and the alarm is maintained.
If I import meetings.ics then a new calender is created (which I don't
mind) but all the alarms seem to be deleted.
Is this deliberate behviour or an issue with the handling of multi-
event ics files in Outlook?
Is there anything I can do (either to the file or to outlook) to get
the alarms to be imported?
Thanks for reading this post. If you need anymore information please
let me know.
