Valid Upgrade to Office XP??

I have Office 97 Suite Upgrade version. I checked the list
of valid upgrade products listed for Office XP Standard
Upgrade version. In the list it has Office 97 Standard.
When I read this initially I felt that I was ok to get the
Upgrade version of XP. But, I was told by a friend that
the Upgrade version of 97 may not be a valid upgrade
product. Is this true? Or am I ok to upgrade to office xp
from an upgrade of 97. Which is upgraded from a full
version of Microsoft Works.

As long as the product on your computer is on the upgrade
list is does not matter if it was a full version or a
upgrade.

You should be just fine to upgrade to Office XP, enjoy!

If you have Office 97 upgrade, it is assumed that you have a previous full
version of Office as well (since you must have upgraded to 97 from
something). In this case, yes, Office 97 upgrade is a qualifying product.
