Valid Win32 App error

I am attempting to reinstall MS Office 2000 Professional
because I had to completely wipe out my machine and start
from scratch. I've reinstalled Windows 2000 Pro, but when
I attempt to run any of the installers on the Office Pro
CD, I get an error message saying that they aren't valid
Win32 applications. This CD was used to install Office on
my machine before. Why am I getting this error message
and what can I do about it?! Thanks!
