Validate MS Project Field Against External Data

Hi,

I am trying to find out if it is possible to validate data entered in a
field in MS Project against an external data source.

For example, can I validate data entered into Task field Text1 against an MS
Access database table field?

If that is possible then can it be taken one step further and have the MS
Access database table field values displayed as a Value List in the MS
Project Text1 field?

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

It would not be easy or clean to do this, but you could use some VBA to do
this. It would be simpler to just enter the value list and lock it down
(tools menu/customize/fields/value list)
