Validation List

Dear all,

I've created a column of name list and used it for a
validation list in another column. In the original name
list, some names used different font colours. However, in
the drop-down menu of the validation list, the names with
different font colours do not show. May I know is there a
way the names in the validation list show the original
colours same as the original name list?

The dropdown list can't be formatted, so it will only show black font.

If the names in the original list were coloured through conditional
formatting, you could apply the same conditions to the cell with data
validation. After a name is selected, the conditional formatting would
apply.

If the names were coloured manually, the cell with data validation won't
display the name in its original colour.
