I have been using Office 2002 for about 2 years and have had no problems with
updates and validation until I had a recent problem and tried "repairing" as
directed when inserting the Disk. While doing so it requested I install
FrontPage (which I did NOT have installed at the time). After a successful
reinstall I tried downloading the patch for the calendar and was asked to
"validate" office, which now fails.
How can I get Microsoft to once again recognize I have a legal copy of
Office so I may continue to receive updates? I would hope to NOT have to
uninstall Office for fear of loosing very important data or not being able to
use Office at all because of a possible corruption problem. Office works just
fine at the moment except for the missing holidays for future years.
Thanks.
