Validation references

Hi,
When setting up validation criteria, is there any way to have the souce
reference pointing to a different sheet and not the same sheet when
allowing a list ? If this is not possible, how else can a drop down
list be set up that references a list from a separate sheet ?

Name the list range, then refer to the name. i.e.

Sheet2!A1:A10 holds the list, either select the range and type a name in the
name box above the row headers
or select the range and do insert>name>define.

In Sheet1 you want validation in A1, select A1, do data>validation, allow
list and in the source box type

=MyList

(replace MyList with whatever you named it)
