Value Pack in Microsoft word

I have tried to install the value pack so that I can use the set
language to be able to use the grammer/spell checker for German. I
have done it on other computers in the past, but I have not been able
to do it on this computer. My student needs it to complete some
written work for this course. Although I have installed it on the
computer I still don't have the set language... What am I doing
wrong?????

What version of Word and OS?

What do you mean by "still don't have the set language". What do you do to
look for it, and what are you expecting to find?

The set language button under tools does not appear so that I can
switch to the German language dictionary and grammer checker and
spelling tool......

Make sure you didn't accidentally turn on "Word 5.1 Menus". Look under View
to see if there's a check next to that option, and uncheck if so. If Tools |
Language is not back after that, then Reset the menus.

If you go to Tools | Customize Toolbars/Menus, highlight the Menu Bar, and
click Reset, it should set all your main menus and built-in toolbars back to
the default.

If you have customized your menus or toolbars, you may want to explore the
Tools | Customize, Commands dialog, and drag the commands you are missing
back to the toolbars/menus yourself, rather than wipe out your
customizations by clicking Reset.

PS. I would think you are using Word 2004, because Tools | Language
disappearing is common in that app, but Office 2004 doesn't have a Value
Pack at all, so that doesn't make sense...

Hi.... I am using Os 10.3.6 and the version of word is microsoft
office: mac v. X we have a site license for this program... and we
have installed the value pack previously but for some reason this
computer has lost its ability to set the language in german so that the
spell checker/grammer checker works.....

I have tried to install it but I haven't seen a difference because the
set language still does not appear under tools so that I can switch
between english and german...


Any one help????
