Various download links for MSWords documents from IE. Some not wo.

I have a document that downloads several MS Word documents from IE 6.0 via
shortcut links. For one user only some of these are not working. They are
fine for everybody else. I have reset this users IE advanced settings to
default and this makes no difference. Any ideas anyone ? I am baffled and
would appreciate any help. Thanks.
