Varying Weekly Hours for One Task?

I am trying to schedule a software architect to execute a singel task over an 8 week period. The first week, they will dedicate 30 hours, each week thereafter, they will dedicate 10 hours.

How can I track this variable hour allocation within a single task?

Select View, Task Usage or Resource Usage, find the assignment, zoom in or
out until the timescale is weekly then manually edit the work for each week.
