VB app and Excel: Deployment options?

M

MV

Hi,

I built a VB6 COM dll with only business logic (no UI) designed to work with
Excel (this will be thwe UI).

I'm trying to find the best way to deploy this into production in order to
avoid dll-hell in future upgrades.

I understand there's something like and Excel COM add-in but haven't been
able to find documentation on how to do this.

My last option would be to copy all my *.cls classes from VB to VBA but is
still an option :(

Can anybody point me into the right direction here?

Thanks,
MV

You can actually call your exposed com interfaces directly from
VBA providing the instancing on the class is set to GlobalMultiUse

Just set a reference from the VBA to your dll and voila there they are

Alternately you can use a com add-in
