VB COM AddIn toolbar button click event not firing when seen from double chevron drop down

Hi All,

We have few add-ins developed for MS-Office apps that will add a
toolbar with customized buttons. We have landed in a situation where
in the click event for the toolbar buttons is not invoked when the
buttons are not seen normally ie. when you minimize the app, the
buttons are only visible when you click on the double chevron. If you
maximize the app where you can see the whole toolbar, we are able to
intercept the click event.

Does anybody know how to solve this? If I am not clear in what I have
explained, I can send a screenshot so that it will be clear to whoever
wants to check this problem. Thanks in advance,
