VB: create new project on Project Server

R

Ray

Hello All,

Before Project Server, I could create a new project using
VB to open and populate a template .mpp file. Is there a
way to duplicate this, but from within Project Server?

The PDS will create a new project, and I can even
populate tasks...but nothing is done automatically, such
as calculating durations, and such. Basically the PDS
doesn't not offer anything like the Project Object model
does for a .mpp file.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Hi,

Getting anything recalculated still involves opening a project in Project.
PDS is the preferred way of creating a project and adding tasks, but you do
need to open it in Project to get calculating. Project Professional is still
the only calculation engine available.
