Hi all,
I've seen a few people post regarding this error message. Only back in
2000 was there a response that had a few helpful hints. Unfortunately,
the helpful hint didn't work :-(
I've written a macro that runs when you open a project from the
server. The macro creates a toolbar for the user. It has worked
seamlessly for about 50 users for over 6 months. Now, we have a new
user and for her, I get the "Error access file ..." message.
I went in and I deleted all modules and forms from the project file. I
checked the Global.mpt file on her computer and there are no
modules/forms associated it. I checked the Global.mpt + enterprise
global file (again, on the user's computer) and it contains all the
macros I've written (and that work with no problem on other
computers).
We closed down and restarted the application, just to be sure that
it's picking up the latest and greatest from the enterprise global
template. We're still getting the error message.
What could be causing this on one single computer? The macros aren't
working at all on her computer now (i.e., the toolbar doesn't load).
I've checked her macro security settings and it's on Medium, which is
what we recommend for all our users.
Thanks for any feedback/help you can provide. This one is a stumper!
