Vb.Net and Word Numbering

I have a document that is setup with several pre-set styles that are setup as
an outline:
I. Section Header
A. Sub Section Header
1. Detail 1
a) sub detail 1

The problem is that in vb.net I apply the style and it simply keeps
numbering from the I. part on each line (I. II. III.), it is not auto
numbering the various levels and I am not sure why. If you need code, let me
know and I will post it.

Exactly how are you applying the Styles. You need to have each numbering
level linked to a paragraph style.
