VBA code runs very slow

VBA code to format and move value around runs very slow on a G3 and G4
powerbook.

Does anyone know why?

Without your giving an example, it's hard to tell. As its engine isn't
particularly optimized, VBA will generally run slower on Macs than
Windows machines, but not always.

Thanks for your answer.

Found another discussion and the VBA time to run was 3 to 10 times slower on
a Mac than a PC for the same code.
In our case it was copying a worksheet and some simple formatting via code.

Maybe one day, the VBA will be optimised on the mac version of Office.

Don't hold your breath - VBA will not be updated (perhaps other than for
bug fixes or other incidental items) on either the Windows or Mac
platform. The WinOffice platform, while maintaining VBA compatability
for at least 10 years, will be moving to .Net or other technologies in
future versions. What happens to MacOffice will have to wait to see what
WinOffice does.
