That kind gesture wouldnt be appreciated by the publisher nor by the
authors.

Is there a difference in asking us ("your Dear Friends") to steal a
hardcopy and give that to you?

Your "story" is bit thin too... That book (2nd edition) was published in
2000 and MUST be available in shops in your country. Else you could
always order it from an internet distributor like Amazon.

duh! *plonk*

I thought I must have misunderstood the OP but I don't think I did.

I doubt there is a soft-copy available for download. It is also
copy-righted materials so someone would be very silly to make it freely
available for download even if he/she has a soft-copy. After all, the
authors want you to buy the hard-copy of the book.

There may be extracts available at the authors' Web site:

It is considered bad manners to post to all newsgroups at once.
