hi to all,
I'm running microsoft office 2004 with vba 11.2 on a os x 10.4.5
Informed about the different handling on File I/O on Windows and Mac
Office, I'm still curious where I could find some documentation about
vba on os x.
to be precise and to give an example:
fName = Application.GetSaveAsFilename(initialFilename:="something.txt")
works fine, but I'd like to force the user to choose 'save as text
file' from the save as dialog box.
therefore I tried various forms of:
fName = Application.GetSaveAsFilename(initialFilename:="something.txt",
fileFilter:="*.txt*) 'the fileFilter in all different shapes
but as soon as I add the fileFilter parameter to the GetSaveAsFilename
Excel crashes..
the official documentation tells me, that fileFilter:="TEXT" would be
the right one.. but since Mac doesn't run on OS 9 anymore, nothing
happens using that value. as far to the official documentation...
does anyone know the solution to the above particular problem? does
anyone know a source for a documentation for vba on os x?
appreciated
