VBA help doesn't work: Stuck with resize cursor

D

David Ladd

When I open the help utility, I cannot type into the text
boxes because all I have is a resize cursor. Therefore, I
cannot look up, or search for anything.

Has anyone else seen this?

Running Windows XP Pro with Office XP

Thanks!

Hi dony,
Try the following:
Bring up the Windows Task Manager and within the Processes tab,
select msohelp.exe then use the End Process button.
Bring up HELP again.

Let us know if this works for you. I've never seen this happen
all the time, but one way of making this happen for appears
to be invoking Excel by using Internet Explorer to open the file..

--------------in other posts, Dave adds that there might be multiple
instances of msohelp running, so terminate them all. --Regards,Tom
