VBA Help file broken again

Once again the navigation links in the Word VBA Help file are broken,
but this time the sage advice about unregistering the hhctrl.ocx
ActiveX object, then re-registering it, brings no joy.

This is a system running W2K SP4, Word 2000 (9.0.7616 SP3), and Office
2000 (SR-1).

Does anyone have any insight on how to repair these links this time
around?

A really long shot, as I'm on Windows XP Pro with Word 2000, but my links
were broken too. I found that undoing the last security patch restored that
functionality. To do that I used the System Restore utility to remove the
patch. It showed up as:

Installed Windows XP KB905915.
