VBA Libraries error

When I open MS-Excel in Windows 2000, a message pops up
which read "cannot open VBA Libraries".
Soon after, Excel kicks me out with a message
saying "error log is being created".

Does anyone know what I need to do to fix this problem?
Any help will be appreciated.
