VBA - no localized folders?

Hello,
on my german powerbook, Visual Basic can't handle localized folders as it
seems. That is totally odd - "MacintoshHD:users:" is being shown as
"Macintosh HD:Benutzer:" in the finder. The built-in routines like
Options.DefaultFilePath find the english version without a problem. But if I
want to call that folder via Dir-method or something else, Dir won't accept
neither the english nor the german version - 'folder not found' :-(

Has anybody any idea?
