VBA Quick Start

Hi All,

I'm an old hand at programming in various languages, but a newbie to
VBA. I have created some basic VBA macros - but am finding it a bit
frustrating not knowing how to manipulate objects (like picture
objects) inside a word document programatically.

I am wondering if anyone can suggest any good resources (aside from
this excellent forum) that might help me get up to speed on the
technicalities of Word's objects - rather than on the basic language
itself - so that I can get productive quite quickly?

Many thanks in advance, in the mean time I will continue to read
through other articles in this forum for inspiration and insight!

All the best,

Jon

Hi Jon,

One place to look is the Object Browser in the visual basic editor.

Another place is the article “Getting to grips with VBA basics in 15
minutes” at:

http://www.mvps.org/word/FAQs/MacrosVBA/VBABasicsIn15Mins.htm

and other items on that site.

Please post any further questions or followup to the newsgroups for the
benefit of others who may be interested. Unsolicited questions forwarded
directly to me will only be answered on a paid consulting basis.

Hope this helps
