VBA VBE Object

Hello all,

Anyone work with the VBE object before? If you have can you give me any ups
and downs about it and more, some good links on this subject? After finding
that Office does have an Object for the Macro Editor I would like to know
what are the limitations?

Thanks,

Hi Jeff

The VBA help files have reasonably good information about the VBE object and
see http://www.cpearson.com/excel/vbe.htm.

The most important thing is that you have to tell Word explicitly that you
want to run code against the VBE object. In Word 2003, do Tools > Options >
Security. Click Macro Security, and on the "Trusted publishers" tab, tick
the box that says "Trust access to Visual Basic project".

Hope this helps.

Thanks for the reply,

The second question to this would be if Word 2007 supports this. Has
Microsoft brought the full power of Office VBA into Word? I myself am more
into Excel, but I'm going to be having to dig deep into Word 2007.

Hi Jeff

Microsoft introduced VBA to Word in Word 97, and it hasn't gone away yet.
Whether that constitutes the "full power", I don't think I'd want to guess.

Hope this helps.
