not familar with word can a hyperlink in word be set to cut & paste into excel
Have a link from excel that opens the word.doc Want to enter text then cut &
paste to a cell in excel.
have some use of vba in excel.
Anyone who can HELP

You probably won't manage it just by recording. Take a look at this article
for controlling Excel from Word

Control Excel from Word

You won't be able to do this from a hyperlink, but you will from a toolbar
button, or possibly even a MACROBUTTON field in the document.
