VBE Debug Menu

I've run into a problem where the VBA Editor's Debug menu just shows
the list of Fonts instead of the normal Debug commands. I have to quit
Word to restore the menu.

This seems to happen when I hit an error in the VBA code I'm
developing. Has anyone run into this and figured out a way around it?

I'm running MS Word X Service Release 1 - OS X 10.3.4
