VBE6.DLL Invalid Page Fault

This invalid page fault in module VBE6.DLL is occurring
at startup each and every time Word 2000 is opened. Word
2000 is part of the 2000 Suite and all other programs
within the suite are functioning properly.

We have tried to run "repair" from the CD and it did not
resolve the issue. We then tried to run "reinstall" from
the CD and again was unsuccessful.

Word 2000 will open to the point of checking for viruses
and then causes the invalid page fault error. I even
tried disabling Norton Anti-Virus upon startup to see if
there was a conflict in this area.

Norton Antivirus is up to date with virus definitions and
a full system scan was done 2 weeks ago.

Any ideas?

This will be a third party macro or add-in that is broken in your version of
Word. Check all the add-ins and macros and see what is installed. The
following FAQ will help you:

As Terry says, the problem is very likely caused by an add-in, but
specifically the problem may be in a conflict between an add-in and the
Norton Office Plug-in. This is easily corrected by disabling the plug-in.
This will not compromise your virus protection provided you leave
Auto-Protect enabled.
