vcal information

Hi,

I have a website where user can come and nominate themselves for some
events.
Now i want to integrate this with outlook.
So fo this i want to generate a vcal file for each event , which user can
execute on his machine and his event will be added to the outlook calendar.
But i want to know all the details regarding vcal file fromat , how to
remvoe event programitically etc.
Where can i get all this information in detail for the vcal and outlook
calendar integration using vcal.

Details on the vCalendar/iCalendar standard are available at http://www.imc.org/pdi/. The Outlook integration is very simple: Users can save items as vCal or iCal .vcs or .ics files and when such files are opened, the user can save them into Outlook calendar folders.
