vCalendar & update

Hello,

On our webserver are vCalendar-Files(.vcs) for download.
How i change the vcs file, if the date or time changes for
one events?

I have read on NG's:
"leave the same UID an step then SEQUENCE one up".

If i do that, and import the cvs again, a new entry is
provided. I need to update the existing event.

Any ideas?
