Vcard entry help

I've got several people who want to begin using Vcards, and as a shared
resource. Don't I need the vcars loaded onto the server, instead of
individual PCs? We are not currently running exchange server, but I think
that would be one solution?? Do I have any other options? Thanks, Jason.
