A user e-mailed us requesting help with getting a Vcard attachment
attached to his outgoing e-mail.
I created his Vcard for him, and e-mailed it to him, but I am having
trouble explaining how to get it attached as a signature. I had him
open the Vcard file and re-save it, even save it to another location
(Desktop) so that it would show up in his contacts.
When we go to edit or create a signature, his card does not appear
under "Vcard options."
If we select "new Vcard from contact," and select his local contacts
from "Show names from the:" box, his name doesn't appear.
I got to work on my own system eventually after much screwing around,
but I'm trying to find a consise way to explain it to the user (who is
an anxious VP without a lot of time!) I'm not sure I'm able to
reproduce it in a step by step way. The trick seems to be getting the
vcard to appear as a contact, which doesn't happen when you simply open
and save a vcf file.
It seems odd to me that when creating signatures from a Vcard, that
outlook doesn't allow you to do this from a VCF file, and has you go
into your contacts. That's feedback for any MS people that may have
input.
Thanks,
