Verify Office Key

Here's the deal. We have 200+ Office XP's at work. I would like to
place them all in a database and match them up with the machine they
are installed on. I can have someone key in all of them. But if they
key in keys incorrectly, what's the point. 8's look like B's, etc. I
want them to be able to key in the key into the database and then it
verifys if the key is entered correctly by checking to see if it is a
valid key. Does microsoft have a program that will do this, verify if
a key is valid?

Here's an idea that might work. Use Keyfinder's "Find Remote Key" function from
the server and save each set of keys into a text file named for the ID of the
user PC. You could then import these into Excel or Access. This would eliminate
the possibility of "pilot error". Keyfinder is available free from
www.magicaljellybean.com . It's a bit of a compromise but it does do away with
having to key each one in manually.
