verify upgrade path v.X to Office 2008

Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard)
Processor: intel

I have Microsoft Office X, and would like to upgrade to Office 2008. The Microsoft website says that v.X is upgradeable to 2008 at reduced cost (around $200). I just want to verify that v.X and X mean the same thing so I don't spend $200 and can't upgrade my software. Thanks!

Yes, you're correct - there is just the one X as far as Mac Office goes:)
