Verifying e-mail addresses.

I have a ton of e-mails to send out on a daily basis. I want to verify the
e-mail addresses before I send them. I have tried Mapilabs Contact Verifier
2.5. I am getting error messages stating connecting to SMTP server Host not
found or network unreachable TCP. Can't check address for now. See log for
more info.

What do I need to do so that I can delete bad e-mails from this list?
Should I use another program or change the settings in this one. They have
virtually no technical support.
