Version conflict issues

Can a person, authoring in PowerPoint Mac 2004, expect to distribute a
file created in that version to PC users using versions 2003 and/or
2000 without any playback concerns, particularly video playback?

And if there are issues/concerns where would I find a list?

Thank you.

You can start here, PC to Mac and Back:

There are many issues relating to video. Without video, there is a good
chance that a presentation will work compatibly without a problem. With
video, chances are much less. You'll have to be sure that the videos are
in a format that PowerPoint for the PC can read (that means you probably
want to avoid QuickTime), but even if you use AVI, you have to worry
about the CODEC that is used. Be sure that you have access to a PC for
testing purposes.

To add to David's good suggestions, you'll need to be certain that the links to
videos are pathless (ie, relative).

That should happen if you put your video files in the same folder that you've
saved your PPT to, THEN insert them. Moving them to the same folder as the PPT
later won't do it.
