I'm running FP 2000 and my friend is running FP2002 (and of course her
site was made using FP2002). She wants to switch web hosts and needs to
publish from her current host to her local computer and then publish
back to the new host. The problem is that she only has access to a dial
up account while I have DSL. So would it be possible for me to do the
download/upload using FP2000 or will it cause too many problems?

There's no problem doing that if all you're doing is publishing (up and
down). She should do a Recalculate Hyperlinks after it's published.

She can publish directly from server to server
using the domain address to access the old server
and the IP address to publish to the new server.

But it is still slow over dial-up.

Warning
If she is using any of the features unique to FP2002 you will/should not be able to open them in her online web or the local you
create (and they may be disabled)

PS
She will eventually have to Publish ALL to her local to get the webs (local & new server) in sync

IMHO
She should publish All from her local to her new server
Or if there is unique content in the online web (from a Discussion Web or forms results, counters etc), she should unmark all "do
not publish" files and publish from server to new server and then from new server to local
