Version used,

Does anyone have an idea on how you get to know what is
the application version (Word 97 or Wod 2002 or else) used
when a file was created.

I have a problem reading a file through my QuickView Plus
7 software and I have been told that this file is a Word
document but when I opend up this file through Word 2002
and saved it I am able to open it with QuickView Plus, So
I need to know what is the format/application used when
this file was created.

In Word's File Open dialog, set the View to Properties. This will show the
version used when the document was last saved (not necessarily the one in
which it was created).
