I need to know how can I find the product version in the
register of some machine and the product type. Example
SMS report send a product version 9.0.3822, is this a
Excel Standard, Pro, other?

Hi Juan,

The version number would apply equally to any of
the editions of Office 2000. The product is the
same in each boxed edition. The product type you
could get from the GUID string or from the name
of the product in the list of installed programs
from the registry. There is an Inventory tool
available from the toolkit in the Office Resource Kit

can use the software inventory tools from
