I'm using MS Word 2003 Professional and I want my students to be able to send
Word documents, using the versions feature, to me as attachments in an email.
Why won't the versions stay with the Word document when it is attached to an
email? I learned the hard way that the versions won't stay with a Word doc
when it's saved to a floppy, but why won't it stay complete when I send it as
an attachment?
~Help?

Never save or open a document to any form of removable media. Always save to
the local HDD first and then COPY the document to or from the REM media.

If you save the file to the local HDD, switch the Windows Explorer, select
the file, right-click and use Sent To, Mail Recipient.

I also have a problem with version feature with Word 2000 and Word 2002.

I have a word document with a couple of versions saved in it, all with Word
2000. I sent this file to someone else, to make him work on the file and
then save his work to a new version, within the same file. He word with Word
2002.

Now, back to Word 2000 on my laptop, I can see his final version but when I
go to File/Version, there is nothing! Previous versions all disapeared, but
the file length is still big, so versions were not lost after my friend
saved his last version in Word 2002.

Now, in Word 2000, when I save a new version, all previous versions appear
in File/Version, but they all point the the same version, the last one! And
the file is now very small, which means that all previous versions were
lost. Unfortunately, I did not keep the original Word 2000 file which I sent
to my friend, so I need to recover from the file he modified in Word 2002.

How could I do that?
Thanks a lot!
Mathieu.
