Versions of ppt for mac

Exactly what versions of powerpoint were made for macs and
what systems can they run on? I know 2001 was Classic
compatible and it seems that 2004 is also called X and is
OS X compatible. What was produced between these periods
and what system(s) are they compatible with?
Thank you

I believe that 2001 was the last Classic compatible version of
PowerPoint. X is actually not 2004. They are two different versions,
both of which (I believe) require OSX. So the progression is 1998, 2001,
X, 2004 with the former two working on Classic and the latter two working
on OS X.

98 - Classic
2001 - Classic
