Vertical check list verses Horizontal Check list

Problem 1: I need checkboxes for my recreated template. I can do it
vertically with "to do" boxes but I can not get those boxes where I need them
horizontally.

Care to explain this process to me.

Well, this would be a total kludge but it may work. Remember. OneNote is
for taking and keeping NOTES. Not for creating forms.

In ON 07 create a table. Select the top row of the table by crag
selecting across all the top row of cells (NOT by clicking once on the
left of the row). Then choose the "to do" tag. This will put a tag in
each of the cells rather than one todo on the left for the whole row. Now
you can put anything you want in the cells in subsequent rows.

I discovered this while trying to tag an entire row as one unit in a
table. It may work in ON 03 but I can't check. The tables in 03 are
pretty worthless so you couldn't do much with it anyway.

Thanks Grant I'll give that a try.

Tried it.
Did not work for me.
No tags assigned fro marked cells.

Clicking a cell an assigning a ToDo tag worked, however.
So it can be done one by one for each column.

Well, dangit. I could swear it did it for me just a couple of weeks ago.
And after I upgraded to ON 07 B2TR too. Oh well. At least it is doable.
Just not as easily as I had thought.

Good enough if it works at all ... ;-)

I swear, I think I must be having dreams about OneNote lately. Because I
keep thinking I have done something just a few days earlier, but then,
when I post it or try it again, it doesn't work. I'm going to have to
start retrying everything just before I post just to make sure I am not
imagining things.

I spotted the page where I used this trick. I am pretty sure I am not
dreaming now. It works if you have text in the cell. It doesn't work if
there is no text or just a space in the cell. This behavior is different
from the way it works for a regular paragraph.

Aaah. This might explain it.
I had made up a new table and did not have anything in the cells in
question.

Interesting.
And useful.
