Vertical Selection of Text

Hi,

I have seen the answer to this on the NG but cannot seem
to find it.

If I have a document and I wish to vertically select a
portion of the text what is the procedure to do this?

I really appreciate your patience and help.

Hi Jerry,

Left click with the mouse at the top left hand corner of the range that you
want to select and hold down the Alt key plus the left mouse
key and drag down and to the right to select the desired column of text.
