Vertical wrapping in PPT 2004

I am trying to create a presentation and I'm getting vertical wrapping
from bottom to top of text. This has never happened before despite
many uses of PPT in OS X. I have trashed my microsoft.powerpoint.plist
and still no help.

All my PPT presentations are now affected.

Any ideas?

Mark

I've found it! Apparently, PPT doesn't support a resolution of 1280 x
854. Maybe this is only in my Powerbook or maybe my Powerbook in that
resolution doesn't support PPT.

Anywway, when I change the resolution to 1152 x 768 I have no problems
and there is no wrapping. I discovered this while tinkering with a
second display (my TV) using an S-video cable and playing with
mirroring and extended display settings.

Nothing like solving your own problem!

Hi Mark,

I have the same issue on my Cinema Display. PPT doesn't seem to support
2560*1600 either, if I "downgrade" to 1920*1200, the problem
"disappears"... Still, Microsoft should do better than this for such
an expensive product...

Hello Mark,

Can you please give me the machine model of your PowerBook? If you're
running Tiger, you can find it by going to About This Mac > More Info >
Hardware > Machine Model. I'm looking for a string like PowerBook5,8 [I'm
running on a PowerMac7,3].

Also helpful would be what's listed under Graphics/Display, in particular
the Chipset and amount of VRAM.

Thanks,
Andrew
