I've tried all logical settings and also tried separate sound input from
camcorder (Sony Handicam) headphone jack to computer microphone jack. Video
is fine, but there is either no sound or barely audible indistinguishable
sound with lots of background noise. Videotape recorded with camcorder at
the same time is fine. Playing it back to OneNote via Firewire leads to the
same problems. The mike check in audio and video settings looks fine and the
camcorder is recognized as a Sony.
