Running PPt XP on Win XP:
Just recently( withing past 3 weeks) I have noticed that clipart seraches in
PowerPoint are excruciatingly slow-- 3 to 7 minutes each. This is regardless
of subject of search. one of test search subjects was "children", which
immediately drop 3 icons into teh found pane and then proceeded to serach for
anotehr 5 minutes. During thsi serach time powerPoint is totally non
responsive-- even the STOP button is ignored.
This is not a memory issue, as I can switch to other applications and work
in them. The task manager indicates 95 to 98 % of memory free and availablae
during this search process.
ClipArt searches from Word and Excel do not exhibit this extensive time line
when seraching for clipart.
Anyone had a similar issue? Found a solution?
Thanks
