very slow opening up bound forms over network

I have access 2002 and here is my weird problem.

When a bound form is opened on a remote workstation that
has linked tables it comes up very quicly, as long as no
one else is on the system.

If another user has a bound form up on another
workstation, all other workstations will take an extra 5
seconds to open up a bound form!

Does anybody have any reason why?

Did you split your database in a front end and back end? If not try doing
it.
